It's a multiplayer first person shooter in your virtual reality headset, but it doesn't take itself too seriously. This one is all about the casual gamer.
Fun and Colourful
If you're looking for a slow, methodical first person shooter, this isn't the one for you. Space Conquest is fast paced and full of action. You can play in a number of different maps, each one a very colourful and vibrant low poly affair. You can play against other players and AI bots, though the disembodied torso's that represent other players feel a bit like an afterthought when dropped into the setting of some well-crafted scenery. If you're looking for the multiplayer experience, however, you may need to arrange a game night, as the Space Conquest servers seem to be a bit bare from time to time.
The whole experience—from the constant action to the short respawn times—seems to be geared towards making the game a blast of fast paced fun, rather than something you could sink hours at a time into without realising. It's very simple to use and gets straight to the point. It's not going to change your world, but it's fun to play in short bursts for that little adrenaline rush you crave.
